Emdoor Empowers the “Joy of Reading” Program, Lighting the Path for Rural Children
Deep in the mountains of Guizhou, China, there is a group of children growing up far from the city. Many of them are left-behind children, shy and quiet, often weighed down by prejudice from the outside world. Their introverted nature makes it difficult to express themselves or clearly envision their future. This reality touched the heart of Emdoor Group.
In September 2025, when Emdoor learned about the “Joy of Reading” Growth Camp launched by the Guangdong Eagle Educational Aid Promotion Association, the company immediately extended its support. Emdoor firmly believes that education is the key to changing destinies. For these children, one meaningful encounter, one transformative learning journey, could mark the turning point of their lives.
At the growth camp in Dayi Middle School, Emdoor witnessed the remarkable transformation of the students.
In the team-building session, they painted their own team flags and shouted out their goals with youthful energy.
In the “Tear Off the Labels” activity, they bravely removed unfair tags and expressed their true selves.
Through the “Worries Alchemy Furnace” workshop, they shared their inner struggles and learned to face their feelings with courage.
In the shared reading session, the children explored new books, wrote down their thoughts and questions, and transformed vague ideas into clear reflections. The “Breaking Prejudice with Critical Thinking” module gave them even more space to grow.
In the “Prejudice Response Letter” activity, they reflected on how to overcome bias through the story of Nezha.
During the “Values Debate”, they used mind maps, gathered evidence, and engaged in rational debate — becoming active and confident critical thinkers.
In the “Future Vision” segment, teams worked together to paint a “Tree of Growth”. Each branch represented a team’s achievements, while the leaves carried each child’s personal dreams and goals.
To encourage ongoing learning after the camp, Emdoor Group donated a batch of AI learning devices to the students of Dayi Middle School in Wangmo County, Guizhou. These devices are not just advanced tools — they are bridges of hope, enabling students to continue exploring knowledge and achieving their personal growth goals long after the camp ends.
During the program, Emdoor witnessed students evolve — from timid and quiet to confident and expressive.
Some who once feared public speaking now spoke clearly on stage.
Others, who had never participated in debates, learned to think critically and view problems from multiple perspectives.
This transformation reflects the power of education and encouragement. A supportive environment can ignite a spark that changes a child’s entire future.
