Passion Meets Purpose: Extending Life Through Blood Donation
On August 30, the 16th "Red Action"blood donation event by the Shenzhen Lions Club was warmly launched at Bao’an Yifang City. Emdoor, serving as the co-organizer, joined hands once again with the Shenzhen Lions Club to host this heartfelt initiative. The company actively supported the event’s organization and promotion, highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation and helping to make the campaign a resounding success.

The event was jointly hosted by the Shenzhen Lions Club, Shenzhen Blood Center, Bao’an District Blood Center, and Longgang District Blood Center, with co-organization by Shenzhen Lions Club Xiangmi Lake Service Team, Emdoor Holdings, and the Mediterranean Anemia Volunteer Service Team of the Shenzhen Red Cross. Hongrongyuan Yifang Commercial Property Co., Ltd. also provided support.

During the ceremony, Xiangmi Lake Service Team 2025–2026 Captain Zhao Renying delivered a welcome speech, expressing sincere gratitude to all supporting organizations, enterprises, and volunteers. She emphasized that every blood donation could save a life and ignite hope for others, encouraging more people to join the initiative and help write more inspiring chapters of life through their generosity.

Deputy Director Chen Jiancong shared real-life cases of blood donation saving lives. He highlighted that thalassemia, a hereditary blood disorder, significantly impacts patients and their families, making a steady and sufficient blood supply essential. With the combined efforts of Shenzhen Blood Center, Xiangmi Lake Service Team, the Mediterranean Anemia Volunteer Service Team, and supporting enterprises, more lives, including thalassemia patients, can be supported. He encouraged everyone to participate actively, spreading love and hope through blood donation.

Over the past 15 events, total donations have surpassed 100,000 units of blood, thanks to the tireless support of Lions Club members and partner enterprises. He also shared his personal reflections and growth since joining the Lions Club.

Enthusiastic participants actively joined the blood donation, collectively contributing to life-saving efforts. Among 154 participants from the Xiangmi Lake Service Team, 129 successfully donated a total of 43,900 ml of blood, including one member donating 1,000 ml. These numbers represent a powerful testament to the community’s dedication to saving lives.
