Emdoor

From April 17 to 19, Emdoor Information embarked on a three-day spring team-building journey to Guilin and Yangshuo under the theme “Journey Further with Mountains and Rivers, Grow Stronger with One Heart.” Framed by misty karst peaks, winding rivers, and unforgettable shared moments, this retreat became more than a short escape from daily work. It was a meaningful experience of collaboration, trust, reflection, and renewed momentum for the road ahead.

At Emdoor Information, teamwork has always been more than a corporate slogan. It is a practical force that supports innovation, execution, and long-term growth. This spring retreat in Guilin and Yangshuo offered the team an opportunity to step away from routine, reconnect with nature, and deepen the spirit of unity that drives the company forward.

Over the course of three days, team members explored the scenic beauty of Xingping Ancient Town, cruised along the Li River, admired the world-famous Impression Liu Sanjie performance, ventured into the dazzling chambers of Silver Cave, climbed the dramatic peaks of Ruyi Peak, shared a heartfelt long-table banquet and bonfire celebration, and floated gently along the Yulong River. Every destination became a backdrop for stronger bonds, shared laughter, and a deeper sense of purpose.

This journey also continues Emdoor’s tradition of meaningful internal culture-building activities. It follows other memorable company events and team retreats already shared on our News page, reflecting the company’s consistent investment in people, culture, and collective growth.

Day One: Setting Sail on the Li River, Moving Forward as One

The journey began with the team gathering at Shenzhen North Railway Station before heading toward Yangshuo by high-speed rail. As the landscapes of Guangdong and Guangxi passed by outside the windows, the retreat atmosphere started to build. Conversations flowed more freely, smiles came more easily, and the shared anticipation of the days ahead brought everyone into the same rhythm.

The first stop was Xingping Ancient Town, a place where time seems to slow down. With its winding stone streets, historic architecture, and quiet sense of heritage, Xingping offered a calm and grounding beginning to the retreat. As team members walked through the town together, the setting naturally invited reflection. In a fast-moving business environment, there is value in pausing, observing, and rediscovering the strength that comes from steadiness and perspective.

From there, the team boarded a cruise on the Xingping section of the Li River. The scene was exactly as celebrated in Chinese landscape imagery: emerald water, bamboo-lined banks, and layered karst peaks rising like natural screens on both sides of the river. This stretch is especially iconic for its connection to the famous RMB 20 note scenery, but for the Emdoor team, the meaning of the moment went beyond sightseeing. Sharing the boat, looking out over the same grand view, and moving forward on the same course became a fitting symbol of collective purpose.

The Li River’s calm strength offered a quiet lesson. Great journeys do not rely on speed alone. They depend on direction, patience, resilience, and the ability to move together through changing conditions. In that sense, the river mirrored the team’s own path—steady, collaborative, and always advancing.

As night fell, the group gathered at the Li River landscape theater to watch Impression Liu Sanjie, the world-famous large-scale outdoor performance directed against the natural backdrop of mountains and water. With peaks as the curtain and the river as the stage, the performance blended local culture, visual art, and grand natural scenery into an unforgettable experience. Watching the show together, team members shared not just a cultural highlight of Yangshuo, but also a collective emotional moment—one that reflected the company’s appreciation for beauty, humanity, and excellence.

Day Two: Climbing Higher Together Through Challenge and Trust

The second day began with a visit to Silver Cave, one of the region’s most renowned karst attractions. Stretching through multiple mountain layers, the cave is filled with luminous stalactites, stone curtains, and naturally sculpted formations shaped over countless years. Walking through the cave, the team experienced a different kind of inspiration—one rooted in time, patience, and accumulation.

Natural wonders like Silver Cave are never formed overnight. They are the result of long-term transformation, layer by layer, year after year. In many ways, that process resembles the growth of a strong organization. Success is built through persistence, repeated effort, shared commitment, and the ability to keep moving forward even when results are not immediate. For the Emdoor team, the cave became more than a scenic spot; it became a reminder that enduring value comes from continuous dedication.

In the afternoon, the team headed for Ruyi Peak, where the retreat entered its most energetic and symbolic phase. The ascent began with a cable car ride that opened up breathtaking panoramic views of Yangshuo’s peak forest. Suspended above the landscape, team members could see the vast natural geometry of the region unfold beneath them—ridges, valleys, villages, and winding waterways stretching into the distance.

From there came the true test of trust and courage: crossing suspension bridges and walking the glass skywalks together. These moments naturally brought people closer. Some walked forward with ease, others moved more cautiously, but the spirit was the same throughout—encouragement, patience, and mutual support. One teammate slowed down for another. A hand was extended. A joke lightened the tension. A cheer rose at just the right moment. In these small but meaningful gestures, the essence of team-building revealed itself clearly.

By the time everyone reached the summit, the meaning of the climb had become obvious. Standing at the top, overlooking Yangshuo’s dramatic mountain landscape, the team experienced more than scenic reward. They experienced the satisfaction that comes from overcoming challenges side by side. Reaching the peak together turned the physical journey into a shared statement: the most meaningful heights are those we achieve with one another.

That evening, the team gathered for a traditional long-table banquet at the foot of the mountains. The setting was warm, festive, and deeply human. During the banquet, General Manager Liu Yuangui delivered an important speech, reflecting on the company’s journey and the significance of this reunion in Guilin and Yangshuo. He noted that over the past year and a half, the team had traveled together through places such as Chenzhou, Mount Heng, and Lushan, and that returning to Guilin after twelve years felt especially meaningful. More importantly, he emphasized that Emdoor has grown steadily and strongly over the past decade, and expressed his hope that all employees would remain united, take responsibility, and continue achieving even stronger results in the future.

The evening also included a celebration for colleagues who had reached their ten-year work anniversaries. Their reflections on growth, perseverance, and shared memories added emotional depth to the event. Moments like these are powerful because they connect company history with personal journeys. They remind everyone that behind every milestone is a group of people who chose to contribute, stay committed, and grow together over time.

As the banquet continued, laughter, conversation, and local hospitality filled the air. Later, the mood shifted from heartfelt to joyful as the bonfire party began. When the flame was lit, team members joined hands, formed circles, danced to the rhythm, and filled the evening with energy. Group performances brought everyone into the moment, transforming the celebration into one of the warmest memories of the entire trip.

These shared experiences matter because corporate culture is not built only in meeting rooms or formal strategy sessions. It is also built in real moments of connection—in celebration, encouragement, mutual recognition, and the ability to create memories together. That is one reason why Emdoor continues to value not only business growth, but also the human foundation behind it. Our broader company values are also reflected in pages such as Social Contribution, where responsibility, care, and long-term commitment remain central to the company’s vision.

Day Three: Drifting Along the Yulong River, Walking Forward with One Heart

On the final day, the team traveled to the Yulong River for one of Yangshuo’s most peaceful and memorable experiences: bamboo rafting. Known for its tranquil scenery and gentle beauty, the Yulong River offered a softer, more reflective close to the retreat. As bamboo rafts drifted side by side over clear water, laughter carried across the river and the surrounding mountains stood quietly as witnesses to the team’s final shared chapter of the journey.

There was something especially meaningful about this moment. Unlike the climbing and crossing of the previous day, bamboo rafting invites a quieter kind of togetherness. It is about flow, coordination, rhythm, and presence. It allows people to simply enjoy being in the same place, moving in the same direction, without pressure or urgency. In a fast-paced business environment, such moments can be rare and deeply valuable.

The Yulong River became the perfect ending to the retreat because it brought together everything the journey had represented: shared motion, shared scenery, and shared memory. By this final stage, the team was not only traveling through Yangshuo together. They were carrying back a stronger sense of trust, familiarity, and emotional alignment.

Mountains and Rivers as Witnesses, A New Journey Ahead

After three fulfilling days, the team returned to Shenzhen by high-speed rail, bringing with them more than photos and travel impressions. The blue waters of the Li River preserved the image of teamwork in motion. The wind at Ruyi Peak witnessed the courage of climbing side by side. The brilliance of Silver Cave reflected the value of long-term accumulation. The warmth of the bonfire held the memory of celebration, gratitude, and belonging.

Every landscape on this journey became part of a larger story about who we are as a team. Every destination revealed a different dimension of collective strength. The retreat was not only a spring outing. It was a reminder that shared experiences deepen mutual understanding, and that strong teams are built not only through work, but also through trust, empathy, and common purpose.

At Emdoor, team spirit remains a core source of momentum. As the company continues to grow in the rugged computing industry, cultural cohesion remains just as important as technical capability and execution. This is why events like this retreat matter. They help turn values into lived experience and transform connection into real organizational strength.

This journey also builds naturally on previous company culture stories already published on the website, including Emdoor’s 2025 Spring Team Building at Mount Heng and Emdoor Information’s 2025 Team Building in Jiangxi. Together, these stories reflect a consistent theme: when people walk together, challenge together, and grow together, they create the kind of team that can go further and achieve more.

As Emdoor moves toward the next stage of growth, the spirit of this Guilin and Yangshuo journey will remain with us. Guided by the calm of rivers, the strength of mountains, and the warmth of shared celebration, the team will continue stepping toward broader horizons with greater confidence and stronger unity.
